Writing Workshop: How Do You Edit Your Own and Others' Texts?

This workshop gives you tools to edit your own texts through tips, examples, and exercises. The focus is on short forms such as poetry and short prose, and there is also room to give feedback on fellow participants' texts. If you have a manuscript accepted by a publisher, you will also receive advice on working with an editor.

The instructor is Christel Sunesen, publisher and editor behind the publishing house Ekbátana, which publishes new Danish literature and cross-disciplinary works under the motto "Always good books before good money." She received the Diploma for Appreciation of Good Book Work 2023 from the Association for Book Crafts and the Sigvaldi Prize from the Danish Arts Foundation. She is also the initiator of the literature festival Lille Bogdag and co-owner of the online bookstore Mikrofest together with Lars Emil Foder.

The session is two hours and aimed at adults. Participation is free but requires registration on Billetto. It takes place at BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Mødeværket, 2nd floor, 10:00-12:00.

There are no computers available - bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen. There are generally no desks, so expect to sit with your computer or paper in your lap. Bring your own water and snacks. Mødeværket is accessible via the main stairs or elevator from the library's main entrance.
