Lecture: Active Euthanasia - A Conversation About Life's End — Kulturhuset Indre By, Copenhagen

Journalist and author Freja Marie Polonius, who wrote "Death by Prescription", is a central voice in the Danish debate on active euthanasia. In this lecture, she tackles questions rarely asked aloud: what happens to society if active euthanasia becomes legal, and what does it mean for our understanding of life, suffering, and dignity?

Polonious explores the ethical dilemmas that arise when self-determination collides with illness and dependence. Can something be legally correct yet humanly problematic? What does the healthcare system face if doctors must simultaneously save lives and help patients die?

The evening is not built around finished conclusions, but around personal stories and analyses that invite doubt and conversation.
