Three researchers from Aarhus University examine coffee's journey - from field to cup and into the body.

Botanist Anders Barfod explores the biology of the coffee plant and the role of agrobiodiversity in agriculture, including bean processing. Natural resource economist Aske Skovmand Bosselmann describes conditions in the so-called 'coffee belt' and discusses how production can adapt to climate change while supporting sustainable ecosystems. Diabetes and nutrition researcher Kjeld Hermansen traces coffee's Danish history and reviews what research shows about coffee consumption and health - including links to cancer, cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes.

The event is livestreamed from Aarhus University and takes place in the Event Room on the 1st floor of Brønshøj Library. Free entry, no registration required.
