Writing Workshop: Documentary and Autobiographical Narratives — Brønshøj Bibliotek, Copenhagen
Free entry

Writing about reality is both challenging and vulnerable. In this workshop, author Peter Øvig explores ideas, ethics, and dramaturgy in autobiographical and documentary narratives. He introduces writing exercises throughout and welcomes questions, especially those rooted in participants' own projects.

Peter Øvig is behind documentary bestsellers such as "Birkedal", "Blekingegadebanden", "Hippie", and "Dem der ikke tier", as well as the autobiographical books "Min mor var besat" and "Jeg er hvad jeg husker", both dealing with depression. He has received the Cavling Prize, the Readers' Book Prize, the Non-Fiction Prize, and the State Arts Foundation's lifetime honorary award.

The workshop is a single two-hour session (16:30-18:30) aimed at adults. Participation is free but requires registration on Billetto. Computers are not provided, so bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen.

The event takes place in a room on the first floor of Brønshøj Library. Questions can be directed to literature coordinator Emma at b67j@kk.dk.
