Det Danske Drengekor: Imod Daggry — Christianskirken, Sønderborg, Sønderborg
Free entry

On Friday, 4 September 2026 at 19:00, Det Danske Drengekor performs the concert work Imod Daggry at Christianskirken in Sønderborg. The concert lasts approximately one hour and has free admission.

Imod Daggry is created by the composer duo LÖVHOLM, consisting of the choir's chief conductor Emil Ritter and double bassist Tomas Raae. Both perform at the concert - Ritter on piano and Raae on double bass. The work weaves well-known Danish songs together with electronic soundscapes in a continuous journey that moves between darkness and light. The choir's boys, aged 9-14, perform both as an ensemble and as soloists.

The concert in Sønderborg is part of the choir's 2026 tour, which also brings Imod Daggry to North Jutland, Norway and Sweden. Det Danske Drengekor has performed at church concerts, concert halls, on television and as a children's choir in opera productions at the Royal Theatre for more than four decades, and undertakes concert tours in Denmark and internationally each year.
