Medusa Quartet (CAN) & Aske Skat

Medusa Quartet from Canada brings rare instruments to the stage with a repertoire drawing on musical traditions from Europe, the Middle East, and North America. The quartet is committed to creating space for women, BIPOC, and queer artists in music - both on stage and in education. In Canada and the USA, they lead workshops, masterclasses, camps, residencies, and school programmes in Ontario and B.C.

Aske Skat opens the evening with his blend of folk, country, soul, and rock. He debuted in 2020 with "Riding Silver Mind" and has since released two additional albums and toured in the Nordic region - most recently in Canada with Nick Shoulders. By day he is a co-host on DR P6's Mon Amie Complexe, a DJ and vinyl collector, and runs the record label CMR. For this concert, he is joined by Magnus Knudsen from De Høje Hæle on bass.
