Writing Workshop: Write from Your Senses and Memories

Author Harald Voetmann leads this two-hour workshop where memories and senses form the basis for a series of writing exercises. The goal is to give participants new inspiration to write and take home finished texts.

Voetmann (b. 1978) has published novels, short stories, and poetry since 2000. His latest novel is Lysmesse (2025), and he regularly translates from Latin, including works by Catullus and Petronius.

The workshop is free and open to adults but requires registration via Billetto. No computers are provided, so bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen. Desk space is limited, and most participants will likely have materials in their lap - a writing board is available as a surface. On the 4th floor you'll find a water station and a coffee machine, but feel free to bring your own water bottle. The workshop takes place in the Othello room at Christianshavn Main Library: from the entrance, follow the right wall through the library space, turn at the first corner, and find Othello as a side room along the right side.
