Swedish musician Bror Gunnar Jansson explores new musical directions with his project The Escapism. The debut album People is co-produced by Christopher Cantillo (Dina Ögon) and draws inspiration from 1970s soul - Curtis Mayfield and Otis Redding are cited as reference points - as well as contemporary neo-soul. The lyrics address vulnerability, marginalization, and the mechanisms of power.

At the concert, Bror Gunnar Jansson & The Escapism perform with a band that includes members from Little Dragon.

About the venue: Mejeriet

Mejeriet is Sønderborg's youth culture house, set in a renovated early-20th-century dairy building - hence the name. It caters to young people aged 15 to 30 and includes a concert hall (a black box of around 170 m²), a lounge, a music studio, two meeting rooms, a workshop room and an inner courtyard. Concerts and open-stage nights are open to all ages. The venue sits directly opposite the regional concert hall Sønderborghus.
