DR Romanklubben connects local reading circles at libraries across Denmark around six new Danish novels - all nominated for the DR Roman Prize, which is awarded in June 2027. Local participants help decide which book wins the prize. Previous winners include Naja Maria Aidt, Kim Blæsbjerg, Keld Conradsen, Maren Uthaug, and Ida Jessen.

In Sønderborg, two parallel clubs run. The Monday group meets 10:00-11:00 at Biblioteket Sønderborg, Mp1.1, Nørre Havnegade 15, six times during the season: December 7, 2026, January 11, February 8, March 15, April 12, and May 10, 2027. A librarian participates at each meeting as moderator.

About the venue: Biblioteket Sønderborg

Biblioteket Sønderborg is the main public library for Sønderborg Municipality, housed in the Multikulturhuset building on Nørre Havnegade. It lends books, audiobooks, films and digital media, and offers study spaces, computers and free wi-fi. A regular programme of events - author evenings, reading clubs, lectures and workshops - runs alongside the everyday library service. Six branch libraries across the municipality complement the main site.
