Writing Workshop: Crafting Plot and Believable Settings
Hovedbiblioteket, Copenhagen · Free
This workshop covers fundamental techniques in plot structure and character development, drawing on concrete examples from Danish and international authors. The session includes short writing exercises and time for discussion and questions.
The instructor is Tonny Vorm, cand.mag. in English, literary critic at Information, and author of non-fiction works, essays, biographies, and the novels Spor i sneen (2022), De navnløse (2014), and Farlig siesta (2026).
The workshop is free and aimed at adults but requires registration on Billetto. It takes place in the Othello room at Christianshavn Library: follow the right wall through the library space and turn at the first corner - Othello is a side room along the same wall. The library is accessible by stairs and elevator.
No computers are provided, so bring your own and/or paper and pen. Desk space is very limited, and you may need to work with your computer or paper on your lap - a writing board is offered as a base. There is a coffee machine in the library; you should bring your own water.
Copenhagen Libraries holds writing workshops throughout the city each month with varying themes and instructors. Each workshop is a standalone two-hour session, not part of a series.
