Writing Workshop: Write from Your Senses and Memories — Hovedbiblioteket, Copenhagen
Free entry

In this workshop with author Harald Voetmann, you will work through a series of writing exercises based on memories and sensory experiences, resulting in a wide variety of texts. The workshop runs for two hours and takes place at Copenhagen Main Library, 4th floor (LIVE).

Harald Voetmann (b. 1978) is a literary author and translator. Since 2000 he has published novels, short stories and poetry - most recently the novel Lysmesse (2025) - and translated works from Latin, including Catullus and Petronius.

The workshop is for adults and free to participate in, but requires registration on Billetto. Computers are not provided, so bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen. Desk space is very limited, and you will likely need to work with your computer or paper on your lap - the library does offer a writing board as a base. On the floor there is a water station and a coffee machine; bring your own water bottle or flask.

From the main entrance on Krystalgade, you reach the 4th floor via elevator, stairs or escalator to the 3rd floor and then up one flight of stairs. The performance area (LIVE) is to the right when you arrive on the floor. Copenhagen Libraries holds writing workshops throughout the city every month with changing themes and instructors. Questions can be directed to literature coordinator Poul-Louis: i343@kk.dk.
