About the venue: Bygningen Vejle

Bygningen is Vejle's main cultural centre and music venue, located at Ved Anlæget. The house holds Spillestedet and Store Sal, where a concert programme runs each spring and autumn - covering rock, jazz and blues, with events organised by groups such as Vejle Jazzklub and Bluesforeningen Crossroads. Beyond concerts, the building offers meeting and conference rooms, creative workshops under the name Kreativ Zone, music rehearsal rooms, and a café on the first floor. It is run by the foundation Vejle Kulturservice, with Jelling Musikfestival as the main stakeholder.

About: Hilal Kaya

Raised in Herning with roots in Anatolia, Hilal Kaya has carved out a sound that moves between Turkish folk, jazz and psych-folk. After years performing with Kalaha and Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, she steps forward as a solo artist with her 2026 debut album Sümbül and two DMA Roots nominations to her name.
