Writing Workshop: Creating Vivid Characters
Sundby Bibliotek, Copenhagen · Free
This workshop focuses on developing and getting to know your characters - their background and history, their deepest fears, greatest strengths, and darkest secrets. You'll also explore how dialogue works on the page, and let your characters speak with each other.
The instructor is Christina Englund, an author who debuted in 1992 with the short story collection "Without Really Sleeping". She has since written the novels "Swallowed" - nominated for the DR Novel Prize - and most recently "The Last Sun". She has many years of experience teaching the craft of writing.
The workshop takes place in Glassalen, Kvarterhuset, from 19:00 to 21:00. Participation is free but requires registration on Billetto. Seating is very limited, so bring pen and paper - a laptop can also be used, but you'll likely need to hold it in your lap.
