Twice in the autumn, parents and babies gather at Tommerup Library for a weekly programme focused on movement and sensory development - both sessions on Tuesdays. The first round runs from 25 August to 29 September, the second from 27 October to 1 December.

The programme includes play on the tummy, rolling, crawling and creeping, plus sensory stimulation through touch, pressure, music and rhythm. Songs and singing games are chosen so they can easily be repeated at home in everyday life.

Groups are divided by the child's age: 1-4 months meet 10:00-11:45, while 5-10 months meet 11:00-11:45. Bring a blanket or sheet - no registration is necessary, just turn up. The offer is only for families living in Assens Municipality.

About the venue: Tommerup Bibliotek

Tommerup Bibliotek sits in Fyrtårn Tommerup - the town's combined culture and sports centre - in the south-eastern corner with a view of the surrounding forest. It was the first library in the AssensBibliotekerne network to be designed and fitted out specifically for self-service from the outset. Large curved windows bring the natural setting inside, and the furniture along the window wall is made in ash to make full use of daylight. The library lends books, audiobooks, films and games, and runs a regular programme of events for children and adults.
