Wild About Science: What Catastrophes Can Teach Us About Ourselves — Ørestad Bibliotek, Copenhagen

At Ørestad Library, two speakers focus on how people and societies respond to crises and disasters. Law professor and disaster-law expert Kristian Cedervall Lauta explores our collective reactions, while outdoor guide and author Jesper Hede offers practical advice on how to prepare - both physically and mentally.

During the evening, the electroacoustic duo EOCÆN performs a dystopian soundscape.

The event is part of Copenhagen Libraries' festival "Wild About Science", running in October and November with science communication for adults in various formats across all Copenhagen Libraries.

About the venue: Ørestad Bibliotek

Ørestad Bibliotek opened in June 2012 as a combined public and school library in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen. It shares a building with Ørestad Skole and also serves as the library for Ørestad Gymnasium. The bright, open interior is divided into play, lounge and study zones across two floors, and the library runs a regular programme of events for children, families and adults.
