Ribe MetalFestival 2026 takes place on August 21 at Ribelunds Festsal in Denmark's oldest city. The festival spans nearly two days and features 13 bands plus a dedicated family programme on Saturday morning.

Friday opens at 15:00 with a festival bar and happy hour until 17:00, with DJ collective Tyndskid providing music. Kalle also performs Friday evening with entertainment for adults only.

Saturday 10:00-13:00 hosts Ribe MiniMetal, a family-friendly mini-festival with live concerts and activities for children. Kalles Worldtour and Trold perform on stage. For the first time in 2026, tickets are available for Ribe MiniMetal only. Children can also attend the main festival with a ticket and an accompanying adult, though it is recommended that children under 13 do not stay on the grounds after 18:00.

The festival's 13 bands include: Afsky, Deadnate, Endarken, Fusskalt, Henret, Konkhra, Lifesick, Memoir Sonata, MØL, (0), Split, Svartsot and Thus Men. There is also a guest stage, lounge areas, merchandise stands, and three food vendors and bars. Festival ticket: 395 kr.

Ole Pedersen Luk's solo vehicle Afsky has carved out a distinctive place in Danish black metal since 2015, weaving old Danish poetry into music that shifts between raw aggression and folk-tinged melancholy.
