The internationally acclaimed percussionist and improviser Lê Quan Ninh and pitophonist Tony Di Napoli reveal the extraordinary sonic potential within the simplest of materials.

Lê Quan Ninh is internationally known for his presence, unique voice and incredible improvisation skill. In this intimate solo performance, he transforms a single drum into a vast sonic landscape through subtle gestures, objects, silence, and resonance. Rather than presenting rhythm in a conventional sense, the concert invites listeners into an expanded experience of sound, where vibration, texture, and attentive listening become the music itself. 40 spaces available for this section.

Lithophones are musical instruments made of stone. They have existed across cultures from prehistoric times to the present day, crafted from sedimentary, metamorphic, and volcanic rocks. In this participatory workshop, Tony Di Napoli introduces the limestone lithophones he creates, sharing their making, tuning, and diverse modes of vibration. Through hands-on exploration and guided listening, participants will discover how stone can become a living musical instrument and experience sound as both an acoustic and physical phenomenon. The workshop is open to everyone-no musical experience is needed.
