Furoshiki Workshop / YUZU Studio - Creative & Sustainable Gift Wrapping

Learn to wrap gifts in fabric using the Japanese Furoshiki technique - without scissors, tape, or ribbon. Textile educator, artist, and designer Nicole Grünfeld guides you through the technique and shows how a single piece of fabric can be used for wrapping, transport, and storage.

You will be introduced to Furoshiki's origins and history and learn various folding and binding techniques for everyday use. Along the way, you'll receive practical tips on how to wrap all kinds of items in fabric and how to create personalized wrappings from materials you already have at home.

The workshop requires no prior knowledge, and both children (12+ years) and adults can participate. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring fabric scraps or square scarves from home.
