Brainwalk - Mental Training in Motion
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · 50 kr. · ≈ 7 €
When the body moves, the brain increases blood flow and activates the hippocampus - the region that controls learning and memory. This is the scientific foundation of Brainwalk.
Your guide is Lars Christiansen, a double world record holder in memory and one of Denmark's most experienced teachers of memory techniques. He shares the concrete methods that have enabled him to store thousands of digits, card sequences, and large amounts of complex information - and along the way explains why we forget and how you can actually become significantly better at remembering names, numbers, and facts.
During the walk, participants try out techniques that use places, images, and stories as anchors for new knowledge.
Brainwalk is part of Folkeuniversitetet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds - the full programme can be found on their website.
📍 Location: Dokk1, outside to the right of the main entrance
