HANNE RIMMEN - Chicken Knit

Knit designer and author Hanne Rimmen gives a lecture on chicken knitting - the colourful, political knitting movement from the 1970s that gave women a personal form of expression through yarn and patterns. The lecture is based on her book "Chicken Knitting" and celebrates Kirsten Hofstätter's original idea of knitting as self-expression.

Hanne Rimmen tells the story behind the movement and shows how she is working to bring the tradition into 2026 through modern designs, colour theory, and techniques.
