DENGANG I AMMASSALIK - Bolatta Silis-Høegh, Nauja Bianco and Helene Brochmann in Conversation

The conversation centres on the exhibition DAAMANI - dengang i Østgrønland, where artist Bolatta Silis-Høegh and curators Nauja Bianco and Helene Brochmann discuss the work and ideas behind the exhibition. Stine Lundberg Hansen moderates.

Fifteen years ago, Helene Brochmann received a collection of negatives containing a large number of photographs taken by Arĸaluk Bianco in the Ammassalik district of East Greenland in the mid-1950s and 1960s. Work with the photographs first resulted in the book Dagligliv i Ammassalik and later in the DAAMANI exhibition, where Arĸaluk Bianco's images enter into dialogue with Bolatta Silis-Høegh's installation "Stands and Looks Through the Window (In or Out)". The exhibition was created on the initiative of Helene Brochmann and Nauja Bianco in collaboration with Nordatlantens Brygge. Read more at nordatlantens.dk/daamani

The conversation takes place in Danish and lasts approximately 60 minutes including questions. The hall opens 30 minutes before the start, and seating is unreserved - please arrive in good time. The ticket also provides access to the venue's other exhibitions.
