Lea Kampmann
Faroese singer-songwriter Lea Kampmann performs at Gnisten as part of European Folk Day. Raised on the Faroe Islands but moved to Copenhagen at age five, she bridges both cultures in her work. Her album Seinferð, produced by Teitur and released in September 2024, aims to share Faroese culture and language with a Danish audience. In 2024 she toured Denmark with Lucky Lo; in 2022 with Katinka Band.
European Folk Day is an annual celebration of European folk music, traditional dance, and storytelling across the continent. The initiative, led by European Folk Network (EFN), connects local traditions with the broader European community. A concert series takes place at three Danish venues: Spillestedet Gnisten in Ry, CLAY Keramikmuseum Danmark, and the university library at Fiolstræde, Copenhagen University.
The concert features a mix of standing and seated areas on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a disability and need assistance, you are welcome to contact Gnisten in advance.
