Gnisten is a music and culture venue housed in a former heating plant on Møllevej in Ry, just 300 metres from the railway station. It is run entirely by volunteers through the association Musikværket Ry. The programme ranges from jazz and folk to rock and classical, with room for both established artists and emerging talent on the intimate stage. The name Gnisten (The Spark) refers to the building's original life as a power works.
