Island walk on Mandø

Women Under Open Sky organizes a full-day trip to Mandø for women in southwestern Jutland. Departure from the mainland at 11:00, with the tour expected to finish at the same location around 17:00-17:30.

The day begins with a ride in Erling's tractor bus to the island, followed by a walk through town and along the beach. Lunch from Café Mandøpigen is included in the price, along with drinks. After lunch, you cross the island, pass the remaining farmland, and reach the area beyond the dike where the loan road begins. From there it is 6 km across the seabed back to the cars - about 15 km total for the day.

The return route normally follows the loan road, but if weather and tides permit, the Ebbe Road is taken instead - less gravel and more mud between your toes. This decision is made close to the date and communicated in a participant letter, which also contains practical information about clothing, what to bring, and the meeting point.
