Street Stories — Café Sonja, Copenhagen

On 23 September at 16:15-17:15, Settlement invites you on a guided walk through Saxogade - the world's first and only social-economy street. Director Vibeke Vinther and founder Johs Bertelsen lead the tour, sharing the street's history and everyday life.

Vibeke Vinther discusses Settlement's current work, where around 100 citizens participate weekly in tailored internships at one of the street's nine shops. Johs Bertelsen reflects on the vision behind the movement he started exactly 40 years ago. Together they explore Saxogade's development, its ability to adapt over time, and Settlement's focus on strong communities as a force for change.

The event is primarily for members of KLUB400, who support Settlement's work with 40 kr. per month. Members receive a coffee card for 10 cups at Café Sonja and a special anniversary mule bag. To join the tour, sign up at www.settlementet.dk/haab40.

After the walk, there is cake at Café Sonja - and an opportunity to use your coffee card. Please register so we have enough coffee and cake. We meet outside Café Sonja, Saxogade 86.
