White Light Black Whole - The Healthcare System of a Sensuous Society

White Light Black Whole is an immersive performance-installation project created by Sisters Hope in close collaboration with the National Center for Art and Mental Health. The project explores what a healthcare system might look like in a sensuous society and takes place at Mental Health Care Center Amager, Hans Bogbinders Allé 3, 2300 Copenhagen.

When you arrive, you are greeted by a Sisters Staff member who welcomes you and begins your stay. Together with a small group, you inhabit part of the centre's facilities until the next day. During your stay, you share poetic encounters, communal gatherings, meals and sleep - and live in a possible future world built on sensory and poetic principles. Vegetarian meals are included, and you sleep in The Dormitory. It is not possible to bring or use digital devices during your stay.

The project involves the centre's patients, staff and visiting artists, researchers, activists and educators - as well as ticket buyers. Once you have purchased a ticket, you will receive a welcome letter with further practical information by email - read it carefully and bring a copy upon arrival. Pay attention to your individual check-in time; check-out is before lunch the next day. Arrive at the large wooden gate at street level and wait for Sisters Staff / The Poetic Caretaker.
