Andreas Toftemark Quintet

Hornbæk Jazzklub presents saxophonist Andreas Toftemark with his quintet. Over the past few years, he has established himself as one of the strongest voices on the modern Danish jazz scene. After several years in New York, he has performed in the USA, Brazil, France, and Germany, collaborating with musicians such as Benny Benack III, Ethan Iverson, Peter Bernstein, Rodney Green, and Gerard Presencer. As an artist on April Records, he has released three albums under his own name and received recognition both domestically and internationally.

The programme features original music written by Toftemark, Rasmus Sørensen, and Rolf Thofte - three musicians who have developed a close musical collaboration over several years, rooted in the American jazz tradition.
