Workshop: Bra-Making Course

This weekend course runs both days from 10:00 to 16:00. We begin with an overview of materials so you can choose the right ones for your bra. Next, we examine finished samples before you select a pattern, draw it out, cut the fabric, and start sewing.

You must be comfortable using your sewing machine, and it must be in working order. Throughout the course, we cover relevant techniques such as attaching elastic, bias tape, and similar elements as needed.

It is recommended that you bring your own sewing machine - however, sewing machines are available at the workshop. You will also need: pencils, pattern paper, a set square or ruler, pins, paper scissors, sharp fabric scissors, small pointed scissors, a seam ripper, sewing machine needles for stretch fabric, and thread in the colours you wish to use.

The instructor will also bring materials for sale, including underwire - which can be difficult to purchase without being able to try them on first.
