Off-Grid Water, Heat and Wastewater Course

This course provides a thorough introduction to creating a self-sufficient home with a focus on tiny houses - but with solutions relevant to larger dwellings as well. No prior knowledge is required.

The course covers three main areas: sustainable heating (solar collectors, heat pumps, biomass, biomile, plus insulation and energy optimization), water supply (rainwater collection, storage and filtration), and wastewater management without mains sewage (sand filtration, composting toilets and evaporation systems). For each topic, advantages and disadvantages are discussed so you can choose the solutions that suit your needs.

The course runs 4-5 hours and includes a vegetarian lunch plus coffee and cake. At the end, there is an opportunity to walk around Grobund and see the ongoing building projects.
