WINE & SCIENCE: FROM THE QUANTUM WORLD TO EXOPLANETS - SOLD OUT

Two internationally recognized researchers focus on different corners of physics: quantum physicist Klaus Mølmer and exoplanet researcher Uffe Gråe Jørgensen. Both lectures are in Danish.

Klaus Mølmer is a professor and one of the world's leading experts in theoretical quantum optics and mechanics. He has co-authored scientific papers with five Nobel Prize winners and has spent decades advancing Denmark's traditions in quantum research. His lecture introduces quantum mechanics - the theory Niels Bohr described as shocking - and its paradoxes: particles that behave as waves and seemingly can exist in multiple places at once. From there, the thread leads to quantum computers, which are expected to perform calculations that would take billions of years on an ordinary computer.

Uffe Gråe Jørgensen is a professor and one of Denmark's leading exoplanet researchers. He played a central role in discovering the first Earth-like exoplanet and now works on methods to detect life on distant worlds. More than 6,000 exoplanets have been confirmed, and researchers can today analyze the atmospheres of these distant worlds - but the search for life has not yet borne fruit. The lecture explores what this means: is Earth unique, or should we rethink the very concept of life?

🍷 A glass of wine is served during the break and is included in the ticket price. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
