KABOOM - The Art of Destruction — Avedøre Bibliotek og Kulturhus, Hvidovre

KABOOM recreates 18 famous destructions from art history live: plaster busts are drowned, paint is applied recklessly over other paintings, Kierkegaard goes through a meat grinder and comes out as sausages, candies are crushed, guitars are smashed - and the audience crawls through canvases themselves.

The performance explores the forbidden pleasure of destruction and is for the whole family from age 6.

About the venue: Avedøre Bibliotek og Kulturhus

Avedøre Bibliotek og Kulturhus is a combined public library and cultural centre in Avedøre Stationsby, part of Hvidovre Municipality's library network. Under one roof it houses a concert and theatre hall alongside a creative workshop for children and young people. The programme runs year-round with events for all ages as well as regular fixtures such as a playroom, homework café and IT assistance.
