NP York

Northern Jutland singer-songwriter NP York visits Kædekassen on Fanø with his seven-piece orchestra, The Fools, performing music from the upcoming album 'What's Next?', released in September.

The album was recorded live in the studio with Kaspar Kaae (Cody) and Asger Techau (Kashmir) at the helm - a choice made to preserve the raw energy the band brings to the stage. The sound ranges from intimate songwriting to broad, organic indie-rock, and the concert alternates between quiet, stripped-down moments with York's vocals at the centre and passages where all seven musicians unfold the sound. Radio host Carsten Holm (P6 Beat, Toner) describes the lead single Walk On By like this: "It sounds a bit like a successor to David Bowie, Nick Cave, Lou Reed, Tindersticks and Johnny Cash."

NP York debuted in 2024 with Music for Fools, which received airplay on P5 and other stations. Since then he has also released the single Sugar (8 May).
