The Baroque Society marks All Saints' Day with a concert at Sct Mariæ Kirke in Helsingør on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 4 p.m. The medieval monastery church, dating from the 15th century and featuring preserved Gothic frescoes, provides the setting for a programme centred on light and hope. The concert pairs J.S. Bach's cantatas Actus Tragicus BWV 106 and O Jesu Christ, mein Lebens Licht BWV 118 with the world premiere of Remembering, a commissioned work by composer Nick Martin written for this occasion. This Helsingør date is one of two Danish performances by the ensemble this autumn. Admission is 200-250 kr.

Swedish-born mezzo-soprano Fanny Kempe, a 2018 graduate of the Copenhagen opera programme, regularly performs as a soloist with Danish ensembles such as Concerto Copenhagen and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, with a special focus on French baroque repertoire.

Norwegian harpsichordist Yngvild Haaland Ruud is a driving force in Copenhagen's early music scene - founder of baroque band The Baroque Society and artistic director of Amager Klassisk. She moves freely between baroque and contemporary repertoire, whether leading an ensemble from the harpsichord or performing as a soloist.
