Monsters in the Plant World - A Halloween Guided Tour at the Botanical Garden — Botanisk Have, Copenhagen

For Halloween, we invite you on a guided tour through the garden's shadowy side. The plant world offers far more than beautiful flowers. In the struggle for sunlight, nutrients, and pollination, plants employ every trick in the book, revealing their dark sides and sinister behavior. On this tour, you'll encounter everything from deadly carnivorous plants to stunning - but far from innocent - giant water lilies. We explore monsters, mutants, stranglers, parasites, the living dead, and deadly poisonous species on a journey through the garden's hidden darkness. Along the way, you'll meet some of the plants that inspired fictional plant monsters, plant villains, and plant antiheroes. Experience the iconic Palm House and Denmark's largest collection of rare plants from around the world on a guided tour through the Botanical Garden with special focus on the darker side of plants. Your ticket also includes free admission to one self-guided visit to the Palm House on the day of the tour during regular opening hours. To secure your preferred time slot, we recommend booking your free-entry visit in advance through our webshop. Please note that access to parts of the Palm House is currently limited due to renovation.
