Against the backdrop of the exhibition in Galleriet, Shekufe talks about her practice as an author, illustrator, publisher, and translator.

She shows, among other things, how work on individual books has shaped her authorship, and how the books as physical objects are closely connected to their themes - including feminism and climate activism.

Hvidovre Hovedbibliotek is the main public library of Hvidovre Municipality, situated on Hvidovrevej close to the town hall. The building houses study spaces, meeting rooms, a children's section and a café alongside its collections of books, e-books and newspapers. A regular programme of author evenings, reading clubs and cultural workshops runs throughout the year. As an open library, the building is accessible every day from 07:00 to 23:00, with staff on hand during regular opening hours.
