Bjarke Mogensen (b. 1985, Rønne, Bornholm) is a Danish accordionist widely regarded as one of Scandinavia's leading classical accordion soloists. He graduated from the soloist class of the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2012 and has since performed at Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw and the Barbican, with more than 60 new works dedicated to him by composers including Per Nørgård, Poul Ruders and Bent Sørensen. He also teaches at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Bjarke Mogensen received the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Honorary Grant of 1 million kroner at a prize concert at Odense Concert Hall on October 24, 2025 - as the first accordionist ever.
The album 'Winter Steps and Summer Skies' - a duo with cellist Toke Møldrup featuring new Danish music - was released in April 2025 on Orchid Classics.
In August 2025, Mogensen and Møldrup toured Denmark with live concerts based on 'Winter Steps and Summer Skies'.
