Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is the stage name of Will Oldham, a singer-songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky, who has been releasing records since the early 1990s under various monikers including Palace Brothers. His 1999 album "I See a Darkness" is widely regarded as a landmark of indie folk, and he has since built a catalogue of more than 30 studio albums spanning folk, country and Americana. Raw, intimate songwriting on themes of mortality and love has kept him a cult figure in independent music for three decades.
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy released his 31st studio album "We Are Together Again" on March 6, 2026 via Domino/No Quarter - recorded in Louisville with, among others, flutist Jacob Duncan and clarinetist Thomas Deakin.
