Dea Trier Mørch (1941-2001) was a Danish author, painter and graphic artist. She is best known for the novel 'Vinterbørn' (1976), a portrayal of life on a maternity ward that became a major popular success. Her work - both literary and visual - was shaped by a socialist and humanist outlook.
