Deafkids (BR) + KOMBI (BR)
Brazilian duo Deafkids bring their new album of industrial beats and Afro-Latin rhythms, with experimental drone support from João Kombi.
Deafkids are a Brazilian duo from São Paulo who have been forging a sound at the intersection of noise, punk, industrial electronics and Afro-Latin rhythms since 2010. Douglas Leal (guitar, electronics, vocals) and Marian Sarine (drums, percussion, electronics) record for Neurot Recordings and have built a catalogue of over 20 releases across Brazil, the US, Europe and Japan. Their latest album, CICATRIZES DO FUTURO, came out in May 2026 - their first unaccompanied full-length in seven years.
CICATRIZES DO FUTURO, the band's first solo album since 2019, was released on May 29, 2026 via Neurot Recordings on LP, CD and digitally.
The album was recorded at Estúdio Jukebox in Volta Redonda in 2025 and mastered by Wayne Adams in London.
Bassist Marcelo dos Santos left the band in 2024, and Deafkids continues thereafter as a duo consisting of Douglas Leal and Marian Sarine.
Deafkids released the single and music video 'CICATRIZES' as a preview of the new album.
Deafkids and the Brazilian band Test played No Hope Tour IV in Europe in September 2024, including in Berlin and Brussels.
