Efterklang are a Danish art-pop and post-rock band from Copenhagen, formed in 2000 by Casper Clausen, Mads Brauer and Rasmus Stolberg. They are known for richly orchestrated soundscapes built in close collaboration with choirs and classical ensembles - most notably on the acclaimed 'Piramida' (2012), recorded at an abandoned Russian mining settlement on Svalbard. Their recent trilogy - 'Altid Sammen' (2019), 'Windflowers' (2021) and 'Things We Have In Common' (2024) - marks a turn toward more open, collaborative songwriting.
Efterklang released their seventh album 'Things We Have In Common' on September 27, 2024 via City Slang Records.
The album concludes a trilogy begun with 'Altid Sammen' (2019) and 'Windflowers' (2021) and features guests such as Zach Condon (Beirut) and Sydjysk Pigekor.
Efterklang announced Sofia as part of the 'Things We Have In Common' tour with a concert on April 30, 2025.
The music documentary 'Efterklang: The Makedonium Band', directed by Andreas Johnsen, premiered in 2024.
The band continues to tour in 2025-2026 with venues in, among others, Tromsø and Warszawa.
