Guy Davis (born May 12, 1952, New York) is an American blues musician, guitarist, banjo and harmonica player who has spent his career preserving and performing acoustic country blues. The son of actors and activists Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, he is a two-time Grammy nominee for Best Traditional Blues and a recipient of the Blues Foundation's Keeping the Blues Alive Award. Beyond music, he works as an actor, author, and theater composer - most recently scoring the 2023 Broadway revival of his father's play Purlie Victorious.
Guy Davis released in May 2026 the album Fight On! True Blues Vol. 2 together with Alvin Youngblood Hart and Corey Harris - a follow-up to their collaboration from 2013.
