Iben Mondrup (born 1969 in Copenhagen) is a Danish novelist and trained visual artist who grew up in Greenland. Her fiction draws on that upbringing to explore family conflict, colonial history and the Danish-Greenlandic relationship. Her 2014 novel Godhavn won the DR Romanprisen (Danish Broadcasting Corporation's novel prize) in 2015, and she has since published nine novels, most recently the autofictional Hvordan kan vi (2025).
Iben Mondrup published in October 2025 the novel Hvordan kan vi at Politikens Forlag - an autofictional novel of over 400 pages, spanning from 1978 to 2025.
Weekendavisen called Hvordan kan vi 'next level autofiction', while Politiken described it as 'totally uncompromising'.
In February 2026 Iben Mondrup held an author lecture at Tårnby Hovedbibliotek about the creation of Hvordan kan vi.

Iben Mondrup received the State Arts Foundation Honorary Award in 2022.
