About

Iben Mondrup (born 1969 in Copenhagen) is a Danish novelist and trained visual artist who grew up in Greenland. Her fiction draws on that upbringing to explore family conflict, colonial history and the Danish-Greenlandic relationship. Her 2014 novel Godhavn won the DR Romanprisen (Danish Broadcasting Corporation's novel prize) in 2015, and she has since published nine novels, most recently the autofictional Hvordan kan vi (2025).
