HOT LAUNDRY (US) + support: Nothing Works (DE) + Java Skull
Hot Laundry from the USA brings raw blues-rock to Råhuset, backed by Berlin's Nothing Works and garage-rock duo Java Skull.
Java Skull is a Copenhagen-based garage and blues-trash duo formed in 2012 by Mark Burer (guitar, vocals) and Jakob Øllgaard (drums) after the break-up of their previous band, The Untamed. Their sound is raw and uncompromising - slow blues riffs and insistent rhythms, with lyrics exploring the darker corners of human nature, drawing on Tom Waits and The Cramps. The duo has released records on Heptown Records, Raving Loony Records and Middle Ear Recordings, and has toured Finland and Sweden.
Java Skull played support for The Chains' release concert at Stengade in Copenhagen in September 2024.
The duo released the single 'Let's Escape / A Town Called Oblivion' on Middle Ear Recordings, produced by Nicolai Westh and Alioscha Brito-Egaña and recorded at Kizio Studios in Copenhagen.
Java Skull released a split album with Thee Gravemen on Raving Loony Records.
The debut album 'The Devil's Looking For You' was released on September 20, 2013 on Heptown Records as a 10" vinyl with eight tracks.
