Lars Danielsson (born 1958 in Smålandsstenar, Sweden) is a bassist, cellist and composer who trained at the music conservatory in Gothenburg, where he originally studied classical cello. Long associated with the German jazz label ACT Music, he has built a career as bandleader, sideman and producer alongside musicians such as Cæcilie Norby, Bobo Stenson, Leszek Możdżer and John Scofield. His Liberetto project, launched in 2012, has become his most distinctive artistic statement - an ensemble that moves freely between jazz, classical music and Nordic folk.
Lars Danielsson released on April 17, 2026 the album 'Liberetto V: Echomyr' on ACT Music - the fifth chapter in his Liberetto series with Magnus Öström, Grégory Privat and John Parricelli.

In November 2024, the trio album 'ACT x Château Palmer: TRIO' was released with Lars Danielsson, Verneri Pohjola and John Parricelli, recorded at the Château Palmer wine estate in Bordeaux.
