Mclusky
Welsh rock band Mclusky brings intense, experimental live rock to Vega.
Mclusky are a Welsh post-hardcore band from Cardiff, formed in 1996 under the name Best. They built a devoted cult following on the strength of their abrasive noise rock and frontman Andy Falkous' sardonic wit, most fully realised on the Steve Albini-engineered "Mclusky Do Dallas" (2002). After splitting in 2005 and reforming in 2014, the band returned in 2025 with their first studio album in two decades, "The World Is Still Here and So Are We", on Ipecac Recordings.
Mclusky released the mini-album "i sure am getting sick of this bowling alley" (6 tracks) on March 20, 2026 via Ipecac Recordings.
The band announced a North American spring tour in 2026 with dates in Denver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, among others.
Mclusky released "The World Is Still Here and So Are We" on May 9, 2025 - the band's first studio album in 20 years - and received a Metacritic score of 82/100.
In December 2024, the band announced a British tour in May 2025 with five dates in Wrexham, Manchester, Leeds, London and Bristol.
Mclusky released four new songs digitally in September 2023 to finance new visas and tour costs after Andy Falkous' hearing problems forced the band to cancel parts of their North American tour.
