Rottrevore are an old-school death metal band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded in November 1989 by Mark Mastro and Chris Weber. Known for offset rhythms, crushing riffs and politically charged lyrics, they are often cited alongside early Incantation and Immolation as defining voices of the American underground. Their sole studio album, "Iniquitous" (1993), pressed in just 1,000 copies on Drowned Productions, has become a sought-after collector's item and a recognised classic of the genre.
Rottrevore performed at Maryland Deathfest XXI in Baltimore (May 21-24, 2026), after taking over a vacant slot in the program.
The band returns to Europe for the first time since 2013 with original members Chris Weber and Mark Mastro, including at Kill-Town Death Fest in Copenhagen.
Rottrevore participated in an interview with 69 Faces of Rock in October 2025.
The band resumed live activity with a short reunion tour in the USA, including at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, and gained renewed attention in the wake of the OSDM revival.
