Steen Harvig is a Danish crime writer, born in 1945 and raised in Charlottenlund. He holds a master's degree in Danish and film studies from the University of Copenhagen, with a specialisation in Hitchcock's films, and previously worked as a folk high school teacher. His novel *Skygger i Wildwood* is based on a real disappearance case from 1950s California.
