The Proclaimers are a Scottish duo formed by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, born in Leith in 1962. Their sound blends folk, punk and pop, delivered in an unapologetic Scottish accent, and their 1988 single "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" became a worldwide anthem. The album Sunshine on Leith sold over two million copies globally and later inspired a stage musical and film of the same name. Now on their 13th studio album, You May Offend (2026), they show no sign of slowing down after more than four decades.
