Wantate is a Copenhagen-based R&B and soul producer, singer, and songwriter with Ugandan roots. He debuted with the EP 'Moments' in 2020 and in 2025 was selected as one of DR's ten KarriereKanon artists with the single 'I've Been Here Before'. His music has featured on Spotify's New Music Friday and in GAFFA's best new tracks, and he has performed at venues including VEGA/Ideal Bar, ALICE, and SPOT Festival.
Wantate released his debut EP 'echoes of us.' on April 10, 2026 - a five-track release of approximately 14 minutes.
Wantate released a music video for the single 'I've Been Here Before', which is the first taste of the EP 'Echoes Of Us'.
DR's KarriereKanonen 2025 - where Wantate was one of ten selected artists - held its final show on June 25 at DR Koncerthuset; the program closes after 2025 and is replaced by P3's Næste from 2026.
GAFFA and DR confirmed Wantate as one of KarriereKanonen's ten selected artists for 2025.
