Summer Concert at Augustenborg
The South Jutland Symphony Orchestra returns to Augustenborg Castle Park with a summer concert of operetta classics, hosted by opera expert Henrik Engelbrecht.
Augustenborg Slotspark stretches down to Augustenborg Fjord and has its roots in the 17th century. Court gardener Johan C. Krafft laid it out as a baroque garden from 1777, and in the early 19th century it was redesigned as a romantic English landscape park. It contains rare and protected trees, historic linden avenues, and the remains of the linden tree that shaded H.C. Andersen during his visits to the palace. Augustiana Kunstpark & Kunsthal occupies the northwestern corner of the park. Access is free around the clock.
